Dưới đây là những cấu trúc có thể được dùng để miêu tả sự thay đổi hay xu hướng thay đổi trong đồ thị, biểu đồ hay bảng. Có một số cách bạn có thể diễn tả sự thay đổi này, nhưng trước khi làm điều đó bạn hãy chú ý đến xu hướng chính của biểu đồ, đồ thị hay bảng, sự thay đổi đó diễn ra vào thời gian nào, diễn ra trong bao lâu. Ex:
